Adaptive Marketing Employees Donate 280 Thanksgiving Turkeys to the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County

Norwalk, CT (PRWEB) December 17, 2009 -- Adaptive Marketing's employees donated 280 Thanksgiving turkeys to The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, Inc., it was announced today. The donation is part of Adaptive's ongoing charitable program, "Adaptive Cares." Adaptive Marketing is a Norwalk, Connecticut-based online provider of membership and loyalty programs designed to give consumers access to savings and services.

Adaptive started the fundraising drive prior to the Thanksgiving holiday to raise money from employees to buy the Thanksgiving turkeys. The turkeys, donated to the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County Inc., were distributed to families in need.

Kathleen Lombardo, Director of the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, Inc., stated, "With many people out of work, they had not been able to afford Thanksgiving but wanted to enjoy the holiday with their families. That's why we reached out to local companies, schools, news channels and the Fairfield County community at large to let them know that there were many families that could not afford to have Thanksgiving this year. It is amazing that all of you at Adaptive Marketing were so generous to donate as much as you did -- you have no idea the impact it made!"

According to Marcella Barry, Vice President of Human Resources for Adaptive Marketing, LLC, "The reality was that for thousands of families in the Fairfield County area, a traditional Thanksgiving meal was only a dream. Fortunately, thanks to the generosity of Adaptive employees, and together with The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield Country, Inc., Adaptive Marketing was able to bring some joy -- in the form of turkeys -- to families in need around the area."
